College for everyone motion
For a few weeks, a number of european universities have been striking for better study conditions. Students denounce education policies aiming at creating a double system : one privately run for rich peoples and one state-run for poorer ones.
EFAy is a fédération of parties promoting solidarity and fairness among peoples and nations. We therefore declare that :
· The laissez-faire implementment of the Bologna Process in our States cannot satisfy us.
· Universities must be open to everyone and promote upward social mobility.
· States should consider education as a priority and, particulary in time of crisis, an investment for the future.
